In cooperation with the “Landesverband im VDH e.V”., the German Kennel Club (VDH) and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the International Dog Show has become one of the most important events for dog lovers in Northern Germany and Scandinavia. Every year thousands of dog lovers travel with their dogs from around 15 countries to get the coveted title “Best in Show”.

As a dog exhibitor, you can exhibit your beloved dog and exchange ideas with like-minded people.

The show is an international show for dogs of all breeds with CACIB of the FCI, entitlements for the title:

  • German Champion VDH
  • German youth champion VDH
  • German Veteran Champion VDH
  • Youth winner Rostock
  • Best in Show Rostock

The awarding of the entitlements takes place according to the regulations of the FCI / VDH. The exhibition is protected by the Fèdèration Cynologique Internationale (FCI) and the German Kennel Club (VDH).

On Sunday all 10 FCI group winners will start for the title “Best in Show”. All FCI group winners from Saturday are  invited to stay until Sunday. The overnight stay for the group winners on Saturday is free.

After the final entry deadline and on the day of the event, an additional fee of 10,00 € per dog will be charged.

Coming from Berlin via A19, B105, Warnowtunnel (toll), first exit HanseMesse, follow the parking guidance system HanseMesse. Coming from Hamburg via the A20 and west feeder (B103), follow the HanseMesse parking guidance system. (There are 1,332 parking spaces available at HanseMesse)

Ferry

From Scandinavia from the overseas port via the B105, Warnowtunnel (toll), first exit "HanseMesse", follow the parking guidance system HanseMesse.

Train

From Rostock main station with the S-Bahn (direction Warnemünde) to Lütten Klein station (approx. 5 min).

Accessibility

The HanseMesse is designed barrier free to be accessible for disabled people without any problems and also offers many other services for wheelchair users.
